P90X Day 12 - 'Legs & Back', 'Ab Ripper X'

I am happy to report, boy and girl, that I did not, and I repeat, did not fall on my butt once! Thank you, thank you. I know, that is a huge improvement from last week. Oh, you didn't hear. That's right, I didn't tell you. Okay, here it goes. I am warning you, it is not that funny of a story. So, I am thinking that I am a hot shot. Legs, yeah, got that. Easy for me. (I have huge leg muscles.) No prob. First one out the gate. One-legged squats from a chair. Second, or maybe it was the third squat, I fell on my bum. See, not that funny. Until I did the wall squats.

I am going to take this brief pause to provide a public service announcement...
If you have tile or hard wood floors, and you own a pet; Make sure that you mop the floor prior to every workout when doing wall squats!

So, back to the story. If I was not in our hall, and if the other wall had not stopped my legs from advancing any further, I would have been in the same position as earlier, on my bum. Kona's hair and dust allowed my shoes to have little to no traction. But that was a week ago. Today was very different. I started out by mopping the floor. Once the sturdy foundation was laid I was able to build a healthy start. Today, I made it through Every one-legged squat, Every second of the wall and the one-legged wall squats, Every lunge, Every shaky step, Every burning muscle, Every rep. Very proud of myself. Same for the back. 100lb black bands and 15 reps.

Ab Ripper X. Boo-yeah. Mason Twist, bring on the medicine ball. Yeah, I know, I am sick. But, I am loving the definition on the sides. Soon 6er!
